Description:

• The Jersey herd has been mated to Samen over the last seven years, bred for udder confirmation and capacities, they are very tidy cows.  Samen has the number one Jersey bull in the country this year.

• The cows receive 500kg of PK blend over the season, at herd test the Jersey content of the herd were 2.08 M/S per cow. 

• The mating is started with, why wait to compact the calving spread.  They have a great response to this.  The only CIDR used are on the first calvers if necessary.

• All first calvers are milked once a day for the first season.

• SCC ran at 90,000 last year.  

• All cows treated with teat seal, any over 100,000 are dry cow treated as well.

• The in-calf heifers and calves are also for sale.
